EU Product Safety Information (GPSR)

This page provides product safety information for customers in the European Union and Northern Ireland, in line with the EU General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988, “GPSR”), which applies from 13 December 2024. It explains who is responsible for the products we sell, how to identify a product, the safety information that accompanies our products, and how to contact us about a safety concern.

1. Who sells these products (Trader)

2. EU Responsible Person (Economic Operator)

Under Article 16 GPSR, a product may only be made available to EU consumers if there is an economic operator established in the EU (a “responsible person”) for that product — this can be an EU manufacturer, an EU importer, an authorised representative established in the EU, or, failing those, an EU fulfilment service provider.

For many branded items we sell (for example Baja Designs lighting), the brand’s manufacturer details and, where the manufacturer has appointed one, its EU responsible person are listed in section 4 and on the relevant product pages.

3. Manufacturer information

The manufacturer of each product is shown on the product page (the “Brand / Vendor”) and in the manufacturer details displayed on the listing. Where a product carries a barcode (GTIN) and/or a manufacturer part number (SKU/MPN), these identifiers are shown on the product page so the exact item can be traced.

4. How to identify a product (traceability)

To allow products to be traced, each item is identifiable by:

  • the product name and model shown on the product page;
  • the manufacturer part number (SKU/MPN) and, where available, the barcode (GTIN/EAN/UPC) shown on the product page; and
  • any batch, lot, or serial number printed on the product or its packaging.

Please keep your order confirmation, which records the exact item and quantity purchased.

5. Safety information, warnings and instructions

Many of the products we sell are performance and aftermarket parts for off-road and recreational electric vehicles. Safety warnings and fitting instructions specific to each product are provided by the manufacturer in the product packaging and/or printed instructions. General safety guidance:

  • Read the instructions supplied with the product before installation and use, and keep them for future reference.
  • Intended use: several products are intended for off-road, closed-course, or competition use. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure a product is legal and appropriate for the intended use and jurisdiction, including road-legality and lighting/homologation rules where applicable.
  • Electrical products: ensure correct voltage, polarity, fusing and weatherproofing; disconnect the battery before wiring work; do not exceed rated loads.
  • Installation: if you are not confident, have the product fitted by a competent person. Incorrect installation can cause failure, fire, or injury.
  • Lighting: high-output LED lighting can dazzle other road users; aim and use lights responsibly and lawfully.
  • Keep away from children where products contain small parts.

Where an EU-harmonised standard applies, conformity is indicated by the CE marking on the product or its packaging. Where UKCA marking applies for Great Britain, it is shown likewise. The relevant declaration(s) of conformity are held by the manufacturer and can be requested via the contact details above.

6. Reporting a safety concern

If you believe a product you bought from us is unsafe, stop using it and contact us immediately at support@elektrischesracing.com or +1 (949) 288-0056 with your order number and the product name/SKU. We will investigate, take corrective action where required (including, where appropriate, recall or withdrawal), and cooperate with the competent authorities.

EU consumers can also report dangerous products through the European Commission’s Safety Gate portal.

What's my order status?

To lookup the status of your order, click here! If you have an elektrischesracing.com account, you can log in and view order status and tracking on the Order History page. MOST orders placed Monday-Friday before 5pm will usually ship the same business day. For All orders placed after the cut off time or placed Saturday-Sunday will ship the following business day (Monday-Friday). Please note: Orders placed during special promotions (Black Friday/Cyber Monday) and holidays may take additional processing time due to increased order volume. How do I cancel my order?

Depending on the status of your order, we may not be able to cancel it. In order to best assist with your request, we recommend reaching out to us via email or live chat for immediate assistance. If we are unable to cancel your order, we can always walk you through our easy returns process.

How do I return a product?

Items must be returned within 14 days after receiving your order. Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, be unworn/unused, have any tags still attached, and include all the original packaging.

How long will it take to receive my refund?

Refunds are processed within 7 days from when we receive the item(s).

I forgot to add an item to my order; can I make a change before it ships?

Once your order has been completed, the order goes almost immediately to processing and then it’s sent to the warehouse to ship. To get your order to you as fast as possible, no changes can be made at this stage. Please place a new order on the website for the additional items.

Can I change the color/size of what I just ordered?

Can I make a change to my billing or shipping address before my package ships?

You may change your shipping address after you place an order by contacting customer service below. Typically, you can only do this the same day an order was placed because items are shipping as fast as possible. If an item has already been processed for shipping, you may not be able to change the address. All address corrections are subject to review and can be declined following a security screening.
